AmCham Ukraine Holds Annual Members Appreciation Reception in Kyiv

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine held its Annual Members Appreciation Reception on 5 February. It brought together 450+ distinguished guests, namely Chamber Members, state officials, partners and friends of the Chamber.

AmCham Ukraine was honored to welcome on stage Petro Poroshenko, President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Groysman, Prime Minister of Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, and Lenna Koszarny, Chair of 2019 Chamber Board of Directors and Founding Partner and Chief Executive Officer, Horizon Capital.

Andy Hunder, president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, said that “The top-3 strategic priorities pivotal for business are — macroeconomic stability, cooperation with the IMF and rule of law. Our mission in 2019 remains unchanged — to help businesses operate and invest in Ukraine, and to help the Ukrainian Government implement much-needed reforms. The AmCham Ukraine business community is anticipating that after the year’s double elections, the President, Parliament, and the new Government will have five uninterrupted years to deliver continued reform and economic growth.”

The American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine is a non-government, non-profit business organization that has been operating in Ukraine since 1992.

The Chamber represents over 600 Member Companies and affiliated parties. It cooperates closely with Ukrainian authorities to improve the business environment and attract foreign investment into the economy, advocates for predictable, transparent, equitable and stable rules of doing business. Its president, Andy Hunder, is a member of the National Reforms Council and Treasurer of AmChams in Europe, the umbrella organization for the American Chambers of Commerce from 42 countries across Europe.
