Meanwhile, governments around the world look meticulously at attempts to shield wealth offshore, introducing financial transparency and global information exchange initiatives. Long-term impact on the industry is inevitable. However, globally it is an important business segment for banks and lawyers.

Throughout the past year Ukrainian law firms reported on the development of their private clients practices. Structuring private assets becomes very sensitive for wealthy individuals in the current political context.

The legitimate use of offshore centers has a spoiled flavor after the release of the so-called Panama Papers.
