Eterna Law represented interests of the international trading structure in a dispute with a Russian trader

Eterna Law team successfully represented interests of the international trading structure in a dispute with a Russian trader. The dispute was complicated by documents with different content, extensive electronic document flow between the parties, as well as by the Respondent’s submission to the case file of a number of documents, the authenticity of which was reasonably doubted.

To protect the interests of the client during the process, our team of lawyers stated that the respondent had falsified the evidence presented, as a result of which these documents were excluded from the evidence base and were not taken into account by the court when making the decision. In addition, taking into account the presence of a foreign element in the case, several provisions of UK law were explained to the court.

As a result of the successful implementation of the client’s interests protection strategy developed by a team of lawyers, the Arbitration Court granted the claimant’s claims in the amount of more than 100 million rubles. The decision takes into account not only the agreements signed between the plaintiff and the defendant, but also the actual behavior of the parties, which testifies to the agreements reached between them. The project was led by partner Eugene Blinov and includes Dmitry Ryzhenkov, senior associate and Alina Basyrova, associate.
