ETERNA LAW announced joining of banking and finance team led by partner and head of the practice Nikolas Likhachov, aimed on strengthening banking and financial services of the firm. Together with Mr. Likhachov, the team includes Olga Karpova, senior associate and Kristina Tsymbaliuk, associate.

Nickolas represents major commercial and investment banks, as lead agent and arranger, and corporations in a wide range of leveraged and corporate finance transactions, including domestic and cross-border acquisition finance, investment-grade facilities, asset-based lending facilities and restructurings. Nickolas also regularly advises on day-to-day funds management issues including fund structuring, disclosure, investment management and outsourcing arrangements. He has particular expertise in the area of investment distribution and has advised on strategic investments into on-shore and offshore pooled investment vehicles acting for institutional and advisory clients as well as advising in large-scale, multijurisdictional transactions.

At ease with the most technically demanding of projects, Nickolas is adept at steering clients through the legal complexities of as counsel for the agent banks; he is active in all aspects of deal structure, negotiation and documentation, including the negotiation of intercreditor relationships among creditors. Other areas Nickolas focuses on include property-related financings, pre-IPO financings, margin lending transactions, and high yield buy and high yield debt financings.

 

Prior to joining the firm, Nickolas held position of a partner at Spensers (former Spenser & Kauffmann); acted as a chief legal counsel at National Credit Bank; held a position of senior associate with Levenets, Maciw & Partners and worked for CMS Cameron McKenna, global law firm.
